Sanath Jayasuriya
Sanath Teran Jayasuriya aged 39, the most experienced member of Sri Lanka Cricket Team with Left arm Batting Style and Slow Left arm Orthodox Bowling Style. He is usually an attacking batsman in either versions of the game and used to play his innings at the top order. He has made many match winning performances with his batting as well as with his bowling. He made his ODI debut against Australian team at Melbourne on 26, December 1989 and scored 12274 runs as of now with an average of 32.7 with 27 Tons and picked 314 scalps. He holds the record for the first player to score 12000 runs and pick 300 wickets in the history of ODI Cricket. He also holds the record for hitting 11 sixes in an innings which is then leveled by Shahid Afridi of Pakistan.
He made his International Cricket debut against New Zealand at Hamilton on 22, February 1991. He scored 6973 runs which includes 14 Tons in 110 Matches with a Highest Score of 340, average of 40.07 and picked 98 scalps with his bowling. His major teams include Sri Lanka, Asia XI, Asia XI Bloomfield Cricket Club, Mumbai Indians, Colombo Cricket Club, Marylebone Cricket Club, Somerset and Ruhuna.
